On 23 and 24 October 2009, the international committee for the documentation andconservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the modern movement(DoCoMoMo) organised a technical seminar in Wroclaw, Poland,
on the theme:
Concrete, the challenges of conservation.
The seminar illustrates the recentrestoration of the Centenary Hall in Wroclaw, built in 1913
by the German architect Max Bergand added to the list of World Heritage properties in 2006.
The event opens a platform for discussion on the different methods of conversation
utilised successfully on concretebuildings around the world.
